Welcome to Toshihiko OGAWA's Homepage!
I am a research student at the Graduate School of Education, Waseda University.
Recently, I have been researching mathematics teacher expertise in inquiry-based lessons. Here, inquiry means the activity that is similar to the researchers’ work in which students address questions with different tools or supports. Because the form of teaching and learning in inquiry-based lessons is different from daily mathematics lessons, the required expertise should also be different. So, I have been investigating what kind of mathematics teacher expertise is required in actual inquiry-based lessons through an analysis of teacher practice about lessons, such as lesson preparation and reflection.
And, I am also interested in research on task design, mathematical analysis, and so on. If you are interested in my research, please contact me!
